Recently I’ve been unmotivated to update my travel journal. However, going through the archives always motivates me to do it.
“Flora, don’t be lazy!” I can already hear the voice in my head.
The trip to Norway is now 2 months ago, but it seemed like much longer – probably because of the change of seasons. I still remember wearing layers of clothing, gloves and scarf, and still freezing in the cold.
We started our first full day in the city centre brimming with energy. That is normal in all our trips. We left the hostel quite early (thanks to Nic’s bedtime schedule – sleep and wake up early), and walked through Karl Johans Gate, the main shopping street. We stopped by a few interesting locations and places along that way. It didn’t snow that day, but was still slippery to walk especially as the frozen snow were turning
into thick slabs of ice. Worse – I didn’t have any boots.
We had an early dinner in a restaurant beside the jetty. It was definitely the most expensive meal I have ever paid for, but in Norway it was only ranked as “average”.
saw an architecture design exhibition in a mall .
no real polar bear, but a sculptured one.. not bad
p.s. Nicholas made a very interesting post about the trip!!! So, click here..
